Frequently asked questions.
Will you be my primary health provider?
Rise Health and Wellness and their providers work as functional medicine consultants in conjunction with your current health care team and is not considered a replacement for your primary care physician. We require all new patients to have a primary care physician to cover emergencies, routine care, & screening.
Rise Health doesn’t accept insurance? Why?
Our clinic does not bill insurance. The reason we do not accept insurance is due to providers that choose to participate with insurance carriers are in a contractual agreement that allows the insurance companies to dictate what services will be allowed. This directs a health plan, and we believe you deserve a more individualized approach that exceeds the current standard of care. We do everything we can to make functional medicine affordable and available. We do not upcharge or make any profit from diagnostic testing including blood work and specialty testing.
What are my payment options?
Methods of payment are: cash, check, credit card, or HSA debit card. We will provide you with a copy of the superbill, if requested. In some cases, superbills are reimbursed for out-of-network care.
What is a superbill?
A superbill is a medical receipt that contains procedure codes, diagnosis codes, and the fees charged for your office visit. Submisison of superbill does not assure there will be reimbursement from you insurance company. Rise Health and Wellness practitioners and providers have no control over this decision from your insurance company. We will never submit claims, or call insurance companies.
What about Medicare?
We do not participate with Medicare, and as with other insurance companies, we do not submit claims to Medicare. Since our practice does not participate in insurance, including Medicare, you may not submit a superbill to Medicare for reimbursement.
